SUGAR SNAP COCKTAIL ROLLS It’s hard to believe that one can eat a "whole" pea and one way to prove the point is by serving SUGAR SNAP COCKTAIL ROLLS. They’ll certainly be a conversation piece wherever you serve them…before your main course, during the cocktail hour, or as an after-the-theater treat. You can make them a few hours ahead and store them, covered, in the refrigerator. Use squares of thinly sliced cheese, boiled ham or other sandwich meats and roll the squares around strung, fresh Sugar Snaps. Skewer the rolls shut with toothpicks; garnish with olives, cocktail onions, radish slices, carrot curls, and anything else you can dream up that’s colorful and tasty. |

Gardeners' Quotes
"Making a connection to a woodland garden isn’t dependent on a grand space or budget. My first garden was on an eighth-acre urban lot in Newark, Delaware…planted the tiny space with woodland ferns, wildflowers, and shrubs..," Rick Darke, The American Woodland Garden-Capturing the Spirit of the Deciduous Forest. |
