Maintain a temperature within the medium of 70-80° during germination, which takes 25-40 days.</p><p><strong>Growth:</strong> Pot in a mix rich in humus with excellent drainage, keeping fairly moist at all times. Avoid wetting the leaves when watering. Place in indirect or curtained sunlight, keep the humidity high, and give 65° nights.</p><p><strong>Appearance and Use:</strong> Flame Violet can be grown as a house plant, in the greenhouse, in a terrarium, or in a hanging basket. Handsome 2-3 inch exotic leaves vary in colors, markings and textures, and have interesting veining. It bears 1/2 - 1 1/2 inch white, pink, yellow, violet or red flowers from early spring to early fall.</p>]]></description>
